The Hyundai Sonata is a mid-size sedan that offers drivers a nice alternative to a full-sized sedan. The latest model year of the Hyundai Sonata makes a few notable changes over the previous model year, with highlights including a new N Line performance trim and new standard features. Drivers will be hard-pressed to find a sportier, more tech-savvy mid-sized sedan than the Hyundai Sonata.

Performance Versatility

The Hyundai Sonata provides drivers with a wonderfully diverse selection of powertrains to consider, including hybrid and gas engine options. The base engine that comes with the Hyundai Sonata is a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine (191 horsepower/181 pound-feet of torque). If you’re looking for more power under the hood, then the Sonata offers up two other gas engine options: a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine and a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-4 engine. The 1.6-liter inline-4 engine manages 191 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. The Turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-4 engine is only available with the performance N Line trim, providing 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. With the new Hyundai Sonata, you can pick the engine that suits your unique driving needs.

Tech fit for the Future

The new Hyundai Sonata spreads a host of versatile features across four trim levels. The base SE trim includes Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and a basic audio system. The SEL and SEL Plus include more or less the same tech features as the SE. If you’re after a different set of features, then you’ll have to opt for the Limited trim. The Limited trim includes a 10/25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a Bose premium audio system, a head-up display, a surround view camera, and a navigation system.
