Whether you’ve got a a brood of little ones or are looking for a tranquil adult night out, this list of upcoming events in Woodbridge, Virginia is sure to include something that’s up your alley.

Taste of Woodbridge Festival
The first event on our list of upcoming things to do in the Woodbridge area is the seventh annual Taste of Woodbridge “Feast-ival.” This family-friendly event is perfect for people of all ages who are interested in sampling delicious food, exploring exhibits, participating in fun games, and enjoying live music on two stages throughout the entire day. The event features over 150 exhibitors, vendors and other members of the DMV community who believe in the power of food, family and fun.
The Taste of Woodbridge festival will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center here in Woodbridge, Virginia. There will be entertainment offering for all ages, so don’t forget the little ones at home. Admission to the event is free for everyone and it’ll be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and if you’re interested in sampling some of the cuisine from the local food vendors, you can purchase $1 tasting tickets either in advance or at the event.

24th Annual Golf Classic
The next spot on our list of the top five upcoming evens in Woodbridge, Virginia, is the First Mount Zion Baptist Church 24th Annual Golf Classic. For nearly a quarter century, this event has brought the community together in support of the church’s ministries which have been a pillar of the northern Virginia region dating al the way back to 1867. Golf lovers can show off their skills at the classic, where you can bring your own equipment to play along the green with other members of the ministry and greater Woodbridge community.
The 24th Annual Golf Classic will be taking place on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All participants in the golf activities must purchase a ticket, with proceeds going towards the ministry. Tickets to participate in the Classic as a golfer are $125 per person and you can purchase them in advance. First Mount Zion is also selling golf shirts in mens and womens sizes starting at $35 each. The church is holding the event at the Old Hickory Golf Club LLC right here in Woodbridge.

Event Design and Decor Workshop
If you’re looking for an enriching activity to do this summer, consider signing up for the Event Design and Decor Workshop put on by We Do Weddings, Etc. Have you ever wondered what goes into planning an event, such as weddings, company parties, or extravagent birthdays? Do you love being creative and making original concept art and mood boards whenever you’re tasked with planning something? Can you see yourself getting lost for hours researching different color palettes, food options, and activities for an event? If so, the Even Design and Decor Workshop may be the perfect outing for you.
Learn all about the ins and outs of event planning, including how to create floor plans, where to find inspiration, how to make a client’s dreams a reality, and how to make artistic decisions that capture the essence of what both you and the client are looking to create in your event. Some of the key topics you’ll learn throughout the workshop include floral design, set-up techniques, table design, building contracts and negotiating, pipe and drape design, and how to build the perfect event team. The three-day class is $1,500 at the We Do Weddings, Etc. Business Center.

Circus Vazquez
Another event that’s sure to impress people of all ages is the Circus Vazquez. Since 1969, this circus troupe originating from Mexico City, Mexico have enchanted audienced far and wide, all while maintaining their roots as a family-owned business. What started as the Circo Hermanos Vazquez transformed into the Circus Vazquez. Kids and adults alike can enjoy the impressive lighting designs and elaborate stunts and acrobatics of the talented cast, as well as imaginative dance sequences and hilarious clown acts.
This event will be taking place right here in Woodbridge, Virginia, throughout the months of August and September at the Circus Vazquez venue in Potomac Mills. Shows will run throughout the week starting August 19th all the way through September 5th, 2022, with shows at 2, 5, 7:30 and 8 p.m. on select dates. Tickets start at $40 per person and children under the age of two get in free.

Potomac Mills Mac and Cheese Festival
If you’re looking for a tasty time for the whole family, consider checking out the Potomac Mills Mac and Cheese Festival taking place on July 23, 2022. Enjoy from a wide selection of food trucks, vendors, and chefs all serving up the most delicious mac and cheese-based treats. Adults can enjoy a variety of craft beers, wines, and ciders available for sampling. Live entertainment will also be included with local bands and performers taking the stage. Choose from an entry, general admission, or VIP ticket and vote for the best mac and cheese at the festival.
