The Auld Shebeen Irish Pub and Restaurant

The Auld Shebeen Irish Pub and Restaurant is Fairfax’s own and only authentic Irish pub. A step through the doors takes you immediately to Ireland, where the warm smells of food cooking and the dark lighting make everything feel cozy. The Auld Shebeen has been proudly serving the community since 2004, and the co-owners Mick Boyle and Dominic Keane frequently remain on hand at the pub to visit with customers and friends and make sure that everything is in order.

Try some authentic Irish fare while you’re there. We suggest you go classic and opt for the crispy fish and chips. These golden fillets have the perfect amount of salt and crunch to make your meal ever so satisfying. If you’d like something a little more adventurous, grab the signature Guinness Beef Stew. You’ll be happy you did.

Focused on creating a supportive atmosphere and fun spot for the community, the Auld Shebeen hosts weekly events. Stop by on Tuesday for a pub quiz or on Friday for some live traditional Irish music.

You’ll find the restaurant at 3971 Chain Bridge Road. Regular business hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, 11 a.m. to midnight, Wednesday through Saturday, and brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Piero’s Corner Ristorante

Piero’s Corner Ristorante is the place to head to when you have a mad craving for some authentic Italian cuisine. Established in 2003, this locally owned and operated restaurant sports a newly renovated bar that offers craft drinks and wine and specializes in authentic Italian cuisine with fresh pasta made daily. The casual dining restaurant menu features a diverse array of options. Choose from salads, appetizers, and main entrees.

When you go, start your meal off right with one of the fresh salads to clear your palate. As an entree, you can’t go wrong with the Salmone Livornese if you like seafood. It’s grilled salmon steak and simmered calamari with Pomodoro sauce, olives, and white wine. The satisfying flavors pop in your mouth and leave you wanting more. If seafood isn’t your cup of tea, try the Risotto San Remo. This dish consists of a tomato and basil pesto risotto with blackened chicken served over a bed of arugula.

Piero’s is at 13340 Franklin Farm Road. The restaurant offers dine-in and carryout service. You can place an order online or make a reservation to ensure your seat is saved when dining in. Regular business hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and brunch from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Earp’s Ordinary

Earp’s Ordinary is extraordinary. Pairing live music with great food, this Fairfax staple in entertainment and fun has established a reputation for quality food and service. Focusing on unifying all music and entertainment genres, Earp’s Ordinary serves an array of delectable food while ensuring that local and national artists have a platform to share their talents.

When you go, check the calendar of events so you can catch an act that interests you. While all genres of music are available on different days, the establishment also hosts events and activities to keep guests entertained. Quiz night and trivia, open mic night, and live music are only a few things you can expect when here.

We highly recommend that you order some soft pretzels served with dipping mustard to start your meal. While the menu does change based on the availability of ingredients and seasons, one sure thing is that you must try the chicken and shrimp gumbo if you can. This indulgent and satisfying meal is served with jasmine rice and feels like a warm embrace.

With many dishes featuring a fusion of Greek and Italian flavors, finding something savory and perfectly seasoned is easy. Order yourself the spaghetti with grilled veggies or the baked moussaka.
