This combination brings you an impressive 139 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. This setup, along with the six-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission, makes for a comfortable ride no matter where the road takes you.
Performance
Although a hybrid model will always beat a gas-powered engine in a competition for the best mpg, the Elantra gets great marks even as a gas-powered sedan. The base trim level gets an EPA-estimated 33 mpg in the city and a whopping 43 mpg out on the highway. In higher trim levels, you can still get up to 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. You’ll feel stable and steady as you drive thanks to the standard 15-inch alloy wheels, but 16-, 17-, and 18-inch wheels are standard or available for upper trim levels.

In the Blue trim, you can expect an EPA-estimated 53 mpg in the city and 56 mpg when cruising on the highway. As for the Limited trim, you’ll get up to 49 mpg in the city, increasing to 52 mpg when you’re out on the highway. If you opt for the lower trim, you’ll have 16-inch wheels equipped, while the Limited model comes with 17-inch wheels.
Interior
