We’ve anxiously awaited the arrival of the 2023 Hyundai Elantra, and it’s finally here. And we’re happy to say it’s better than ever. The Elantra has a bold exterior style, the most advanced tech, premium comfort, and plenty of space. You have options, like the sport-tuned N-Line or the ultra-efficient Hybrid Blue, to suit any taste. With all the various options, we thought it best to have our sedan experts explain the trim features and benefits to help you decide which model works best for you.

2023 Hyundai Elantra Trim Levels and Pricing

Hyundai offers the Elantra in six trims. The base model SE starts at $20,500 and comes equipped with cutting-edge driver-assist systems and the latest infotainment tech. Elantra’s SEL trim adds upgraded wheels, keyless entry, push-button start, and a hands-free trunk release at $21,750. The Limited trim price begins at $26,350 before option packages. However, it includes great features like leather upholstery, premium audio, and Smart Cruise Control.

Hyundai’s N-Line model boasts race-inspired style and engineering at a base price of $27,050. N-Line models have more powerful engines, larger alloy wheels, and sport seats. If you prefer a fuel-efficient Elantra, the Hybrid Blue model offers the best fuel economy of the lineup. At a starting MSRP of $24,400, you get up to 56 mpg plus comfort upgrades like heated seats. Finally, a Limited Hybrid trim blends the efficiency of hybrid tech with top-tier comfort and convenience. Pricing begins at $29,000, which includes heated and ventilated seats, premium leather upholstery, and a larger touch screen with built-in navigation.

2023 Hyundai Elantra SE Trim

The Hyundai Elantra SE has projector beam headlights and LED daytime running lights that frame the black grille to complete the aggressive front fascia. Body-color outside mirrors that fold away and black trim add to the stylish exterior. Standard 15-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires provide traction and control to this front-wheel-drive sedan.

Inside, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat and a four-way front passenger seat have premium cloth surfaces resistant to stains. Your eight-inch display audio system has touch-screen capability and syncs with your smartphone via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto tech and via Bluetooth for other wireless operations. USB ports for data and charging keep you connected and powered up.

Under the hood, Hyundai installed a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine capable of producing 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. This engine uses dual overhead cams with 16 valves, dual continuously variable valve timing, and multi-point fuel injection technology. As a result, the SE trim gets 33 mpg driving in the city, 42 mpg on the highway, and 37 mpg rating combined.

2023 Hyundai Elantra SEL Trim

The Elantra SEL trim comes with most of the same features as the SE, with a few exceptions. You can add the Convenience Package when you purchase the SEL trim, which includes significant upgrades such as the 10.25-inch touch screen, a wireless charging pad, 17-inch alloy wheels, and more.

Standard upgrades to the SEL include a dual-zone automatic climate control system, keyless entry, and push-button start. In addition, you get three free years of Bluelink Connected Care, which enables remote operations. You get the same powertrain but with slightly lower economy ratings. The SEL offers 30 mpg driving around town, 40 mpg on the freeways, and 34 mpg combined.

2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited Trim

Hyundai’s top-tier Limited trim rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-season performance tires. Other exterior upgrades include LED headlights, heated side mirrors, a signature dark chrome grille, and chrome window trim. Inside, you have a power-operated six-way driver’s seat, heated front seats, and synthetic leather upholstery.

In-vehicle tech improves with the 10.25-inch touch screen and 10.25-inch digital information cluster, plus a wireless charging pad. A premium Bose audio system with eight speakers delivers theater-quality sound. In addition, an interior ambient lighting system and the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob provide a refined style.

2023 Hyundai Elantra N-Line Trim

Outside, the N-Line model has many trim-exclusive features, including a unique gloss black grille, an N-Line front and rear fascias, a rear diffuser, and twin chrome exhaust ports. Inside, the cockpit has sport-inspired items such as alloy sport pedals, an N-Line-specific leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Hyundai boosts the N-Line’s power with a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine with gasoline direct injection. As a result, this powertrain produces an impressive 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, economy ratings of 28 mpg driving on surface roads, 36 mpg on the expressway, and 31 mpg combined deliver efficient use of all that power.

2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Blue Trim

The Hybrid Blue model aligns with the SEL trim for included features. Hyundai has equipped the Hybrid Blue with a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine and a 32 kWh electric motor powered by a 240-volt lithium-ion battery pack to achieve optimal economic performance. As a result, this powertrain produces a combined system of 139 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. This hybrid powertrain delivers exceptional fuel economy with ratings of 53 mpg in the city, 56 mpg on the highway, and 54 mpg combined.

2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited Trim

Hyundai offers the top-tier Limited trim with all its premium amenities in a hybrid powertrain configuration. You’ll find all the upscale features inside and out on this model, plus gain the efficiency of hybrid technology. The Hybrid Limited model gets an EPA-estimated 49 mpg driving in the city, 52 mpg on the highway, and 50 mpg combined.
