The Auld Shebeen Irish Pub and Restaurant
While it may not be exclusively a karaoke bar, this Irish pub hosts an excellent karaoke night in the cellar every Friday for customers ages 21 and up. The doors open at 9 p.m., the singing begins at 10 p.m., and the night doesn’t wrap up until 2 a.m. If you come between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., you can also enjoy live traditional Irish music in the restaurant’s main area. Other weekly events include a pub quiz on Mondays, EDM DJs on Wednesdays, and more traditional Irish music on Saturdays.
There is no cover charge for karaoke, so anyone is welcome to stop by. While you’re there, you can fill up on traditional Irish food, including scotch eggs, baked brie, soft pretzels, beef sliders, and spinach and artichoke dip. If you’re looking for something a little more substantial, you might try the Guinness barbeque burger, the Auld Shebeen chicken club, the Irish sausages and mash, or the shepherd’s pie. Lulu Cafe
Founded in 2005, this cozy cafe bar lounge offers food, drinks, and private karaoke. What began as a mom-and-pop hole-in-the-wall karaoke venue has gained notoriety over the years and is now a well-respected karaoke destination near Fairfax. In fact, you can get to Lulu Cafe with just a quick 14-minute drive from downtown Fairfax. To request a private karaoke room at Lulu’s just use the form on the Lulu Cafe website.
There are also plenty of delicious menu items you can enjoy while you sing the night away. The “small bites” menu features vegetable dumplings, fried Brussel sprouts, fries, and mozzarella sticks. The “bigger bites” section lists a bulgogi PB&J sandwich, a cheesy bulgogi sandwich, okonomiyaki tots, popcorn chicken, popcorn tofu, fried chicken wings, and friend cauliflower. You can also order from a selection of bottled beer, draft beer, hard seltzer, wine, soju, or cocktail soju options.

Glam Karaoke
A 14-minute drive to the west from Fairfax will bring you to Glam Karaoke. You can enjoy brand new equipment, including mics and karaoke machines. Glam has 12 private rooms for rent, so you’ll have your pick between a small room for $40 per hour, a medium room for $50 per hour, or a large room for $60 per hour. You can call to make a reservation, or do so through the company website reservation form.
Glam offers a full bar with beers, liquors, soju, cocktails, and more. You can mingle between songs and enjoy the blue light ambiance and wide screen television above the bar. For the best deals, stop by during happy hour, which occurs every day before 8 p.m..

Freddie’s Beach Bar
Freddie’s Beach Bar’s Arlington location is a great nearby option for Fairfax locals looking for LGBTQ+ friendly karaoke. This bar hosts karaoke seven days a week for clients over the age of 21. You can expect the singing to begin at 8 p.m. and end around 1:30 a.m. every night, unless there is another event. In that case, karaoke begins after the other event. For example, on Wednesdays karaoke begins at 10 p.m. after bingo. On Saturdays, it begins at 11 p.m., after the weekly drag show. You can reserve a table online or by phone.
Freddie’s Beach Bar also serves appetizers like wings, fried shrimp, nachos, fried pickles, fried mozzarella sticks, and chicken tenders. You can also opt for a salad like the chicken Caesar salad, a pasta dish like the tie-dyed tortellini, or a sandwich like the tiki turkey wrap. Entree options include crab cakes, fish and chips, burgers, and quesadillas. Finally, you can indulge in the “crazy-good chocolate cake,” the “luscious carrot cake,” or the “divine cheesecake.” If you want to start the fun early. stop by before karaoke for a daily happy hour deal between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m..

Union District Oyster Bar and Lounge
If you’re looking for a night to remember, make the 30-minute drive to Washington, D.C. and visit this fantastic karaoke destination. The Union District Oyster Bar and Lounge is your opportunity to perform karaoke with a live band. Sing along to tunes performed by the Experience Band & Show. You can even attend the event for free if you RSVP and arrive before 8 p.m.
Along with the live band music, you can enjoy a full bar at the Union District Oyster Bar’s Velvet Lounge. This is the upstairs venue that hosts karaoke, among other fun musical events throughout the week.
